Conclusion

Pasig had a very big contribution to the history of the country from the Pre-colonial era wherein some fossils and antique treasures were well-preserved, down to the very remarkable 1896 Revolution wherein Pasig became a place for the revolutionaries to secretly hold an assembly.

The first civilization in Pasig was near Bitukang Manok which is part of today's Pasig river. This also served as a hidden passageway for the Katipuneros to hold an underground meeting in preparation for the revolution. The historical significance of Bitukang Manok waned overtime due to commercialization. It served as a drainage system at present and commercial establishments occupied a large portion of it.

Up to date, many of the historical sites are still existing like, Bahay Tisa, which is a favorite site for film shooting; Dimas-Alang, the oldest bakeshop in Pasig; Immaculate Concepcion Cathedral, the first Marian Parish in the Philippines built by Augustinians; Concepcion Mansion, the former headquarter of the Japanese and converted into present Pasig City Museum; Bahay Kuwago, where the Asemblea Magna of Katipunan was held; and Plaza Rizal and Andres Bonifacio Cenotaph, built in honor of the said heroes.

Pasig got its name from the Legend of Paz and Virgilio. It was also said that the etymology of Pasig was from the sanskrit "Passis," which means a community on a sandy riverbank.

Pasig achieved her improvement not only in a single event. It underwent several years of transition  under the objectives of the leaders from the past years up to the present.

Though Pasig River was once an integral part of Pasigueño's lives, today it was considered as a nearly-dying river because of continuous  industrialization and needed to be rehabilitated.

Pasig City attained her success through the expertise and excellence of different personalities such as Valentin Cruz, Lope K. Santos, Jovito Salonga, Vicente Eusebio, Soledad Eusebio, Robert "Bobby" Eusebio and a lot more to mention.
